"D" week ~ September 2-5

Wednesday, Sept. 3 - We will read about Detective Dog and make our "D" books. We willhaveour special classes; Spanish, Art, Library, and Music. In Art, we will do Dot art!Our snack will be Scooby Doo graham crackerdog bones!

Thursday, Sept. 4 - Today we will discussand learn a song about "Dentists". We will read the book "Dr. DeSoto, the Dentist".We will alsocontinue to practice writing the letter "D".Our snack will be Little Debbie cakes donated by Isaac!

Friday, Sept. 5 - We will be discussing dinosaurs and hunt dinosaur bones. We will read the book "Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs. We will also be doing our Weekly Reader and going to Computer Lab. We will practice cutting out the letter "D" and play in the dirt!

Please remember to bring in pictures of things that start with "D". Please let me know if you would like to bring snacks. Thanks for all your donations!

"C" week - August 25-29

Tuesday; We will read Alphatales "Copycats" and make ourAlphatales books. We willpractice tracing and cutting a circle and writing the letters "Cc". We will paint with cottonballs and clothespins and our snack will be cheese and crackers! We will also graph our favorite colors of M&M candies!

Wednesday; TODAY IS CAP AND CAMOUFLAGE DAY! Remember to wear your favorite cap and/or camouflage clothes today. We will practice wrting the letter "C" and in Art, we will make cottonball "C"s. We have special classes today: Spanish, Art, Library and Music. Our snack will be chocolate chip cookies.

Thursday; Our religion lesson today will be "God Made My Friends". We will color circles, paint with corn cobs and read "Clifford" books. Our snack will be carrots (with or without ranch dip).

Friday;We will finish our "C" collage, count colors in our classroom and make cereal necklaces. We will practice cutting the letter "C" and read and make aletter "c" rebus rhyme and book. Our snack will be Cheerios!

Throughout the week we will be collecting pictures of things that start with "C" AND collecting canned goods. The canned goods will be donated to a local food pantry. We willhave "Star of the Week" starting the week of September 8-12. I will send home notice prior to your child's week as STAR!! Remember, NO SCHOOL Monday, September 1/Labor Day. *Note: the printed "C" week calender that went home in folders mistakenly has computer class on Thursday. Computers are on Fridays. "B" week ~ August 18-22

Tuesday, August 19 - Our story today will be "Bubble Bear" and we will make a "B" book. Our snack will be bananas. We will also be doing Blue Bubble Wrap Art.

Wednesday, August 20 - BLUE DAY! Remember to wear blue! Every Wednesday is our biggest day for special classes. We will have Spanish, Art, Library and Music! We will also be playing Bingo.

Thursday, August 21 - Our book for today is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear". Thursdays we have our Religion class. The Religion lesson is "God Made My Family". Our snack will be butterscotch pudding!

Friday, August 22 - All of our students are invited to bring their favorite bear from home to share during Show-n-Share. We will play with bubbles and have bean bag fun. We also go to Computer class on Fridays.

Throughout the week we will be learning and practicing the sign for the letter "B" and adding to our "B" collage. Remember to bring in pictures of things that start with the letter "B"! Your child may also bring in their favorite book on any day this week. Please send in Fabulous Friends posters, family photo and Birthday Star if you haven't already. Thanks and have a beautiful week!
